Royale High Outfit Icons for the Stream Deck
I've made these icons on Canva to save me some time changing my outfit in between classes using my saved outfits. Feel free to download and use them if you're like me and get immersed in the RH school life spirit while playing.
The list for the icons is as follows:
School Uniform - This can be used for various classes like Computer, Study Hall, English, Math, and detention.
Cheerleading practice - Not yet available.
Lap Pool Activities - Meaning the swim spinner and Baton Swim. The swimwear fashion show theme changes every time so you'll be better off saving a basic swim outfit that you can build upon with the given theme.
Princess Practice - Not yet in game but it won't hurt to have an outfit at the ready.
Flight Class
Mermaid class - Not yet available.
Magic Powers 101 - Not yet available.
Magic Fencing - Not yet available.
Potion Class
Basketball
Archery
Dance Studio - Not yet available.
Bubble Ball - Not yet available.
Baking Class - Not yet available.
Home Economics - Not yet available.
Student store rush - Idk, it's just fun to make a casual shopping outfit 😅
Shower
Sleepover
Workout Gym - Not yet available.
Yoga outfit - For the Stretch Lounge
Spa outfit - Spa not yet available.
Rainy day outfit - This is optional as there's no such thing as weather in Campus, but still fun to use! It can also be used for Rainy day Classroom.
Dress form - Optional but I like to keep a clean basic outfit with no accesories so it is ready when I want to create a new outfit slot.
Farming Outfit - You know the one that includes the Noslats Butterfly Set w socks, the P.E. shirt and now wings!
Sunset Island - To save and outfit with my most used Sunset Island accesories.
Seasonal - This outfit will be overwritten to match the current season.
Elemental - Outfit with your main power.
*You can save the ones you find useful for your gaming style and if you don't have a stream deck at least you can take some ideas for your saved outfits 🥰
How to set up your Outfit Hotkey on the Stream deck.
Step 1: Drag the Multi Action button to your deck, click the new action button, then click on the Content arrow
Step 2: Drag two text actions and a hotkey action from the System dropdown menu.
On the first 'System: Text' type a "/" in the Text box like shown in the image below. This will trigger to open the Roblox chat box.
Step 3: In the second "System: Text" you'll need to type: "/e saved outfit name" For example: /e schooluniform
Check on the Press Enter after message box.
This will prompt an emote attempt so it won't appear in chat to others but it will prompt the pop up window to wear that saved outfit.
Step 4: In the "System: Hotkey" button you need to click on the Hotkey box and press the "Enter/Return" key to assist the Step 3 process, so it runs smoothly. For some reason the "Press Enter after message" checkbox wasn't working on Roblox so adding this step fixes that issue.
And there you have it! Now you can set up your saved outfits to hotkeys in the Stream Deck and save a little time without having to type or remember the names of your fits! Just click YES when the pop up window appears 💗
Important Notes:
This trick seems to work only on public servers for some reason. It might be a glitch for me idk, but I do want to mention it so you are aware of this issue.
The limit of saved outfits is different for everyone, and it is influenced by how detailed your saved outfits are as they take more data space. If you want to be like me and have an outfit for different classes my advice is to use only what's necessary in that outfit. I ran into trouble due to this reason; my saved outfit limit was capped at 22 so I made a few adjustments and was able to increase the limit to 25 as of now.
Most of my fits had invisible wings so I could always use them in flight class but since I no longer need that bc having the hotkey button makes changing more quickly I removed my wings on all my fits except flight class and elemental fit.
If earrings or other accesories are not visible due to hair, sleeves, etc. take them out. Body glitter also counts. Halos too, we do not need to wear halos on every single outfit.
Combine outfit slots if necessary. In my case, I had to eliminate Home Ec. fit and decided to wear just regular uniform for that class too. We still don't have it available, so we really don't know what we'll need. I also removed the Sunset Island slot since that one always changes and now I use the dress form icon for the purpose of having a basic, bare outfit that I can build upon with the given theme.

tagging fics on ao3
but you can't really trust me bc idk what i'm doing. this is very specific to my type of thinking. and is not helpful really
this used to be a lot longer but i decided "nobody is going to read this much text" and collapsed it to just talking about tags
Fair warning for when I talk about Ao3 tags, the Ratings and Archive Warnings section will address the Mature/Explicit tags and the archive warnings, but I'd rather tell people that they exist and explain what they are rather than fling them into the deep without any knowledge on those points.
Here is the tags box!
As you can see, there are actually helpful little blue question mark bubbles by each tag type explaining what each of them do! I'll still break them down in my own way but I find that these are pretty helpful references that more people should take a look at.
The box mentions this, but you can put a maximum of 75 tags on any given fic. This is a total of all of the types of tags stated here. For example, you could have 1 rating, 1 archive warning, 1 fandom, 2 categories, 2 relationships, 5 characters, and 5 additional tags, and that would be a total of 17 tags.
Rating: This little dropdown menu gives you a choice between the Not Rated, General Audiences, Teen And Up Audiences, Mature, and Explicit tags for fic.
I think that generally, you should always be rating your fanfic, but that's just my opinion, so you can use Not Rated if you'd like. Ao3 explains what these tags are for better than I ever could, so here's just a screengrab of what they say for this:
Archive Warnings: You can choose one or more of these checkboxes to tag a fic with the archive warnings.
I think most of these are self-explanatory, but you can hit the little blue bubble for a better explanation of what each one is used for. Also, I have seen some confusion in the past on "Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings" vs. "No Archive Warnings Apply," so I'll explain those here as well.
"No Archive Warnings Apply" is what you use when there are no archive warnings in your work. If none of the warnings apply, check this box and move on, because Ao3 won't let you post without at least one of these boxes checked.
"Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings" is what you use when there may or may not be archive warnings in your work. The reason that this tag exists is in the case that using an archive warning might spoil something in a fic, so the creator uses this tag to state that all other archive warnings may or may not be present, and so you come into the fic at your own risk and acknowledge that any of the archive warnings may be present.
Fandoms: This is a little short answer box that allows you to put fandom tags on your fic. You have to include at least one fandom tag here, but you can add more than that.
As you're typing, a bunch of suggestions of existing fandoms should appear in a dropdown. You can click on any of these to add them as a tag to your fic instead of having to type out the whole thing!
Categories: These checkboxes allow you to tell the readers whether your fic is:
F/F: romantic relationship between two or more female characters
F/M: romantic relationship between female and male characters
Gen: platonic relationship between any amount of characters
M/M: romantic relationship between two or more male characters
Multi: either there are multiple types of the above relationships in your fic, or there's polyamory.
Other: anything else that falls outside the lines of the above, such as relationships including a nonbinary character
You can select anything between all or none of these tags!
Relationships: This is for the ships! Either platonic or romantic relationship tags are included here, anything that you think is relevant to the fic in question.
Platonic ships are formatted like this: "Character A & Character B"
Romantic ships are formatted like this: "Character A/Character B"
Again, as you're typing, a bunch of suggestions of existing ships should appear in a dropdown. You can click on any of these to add them as a tag, and you can add as many as you like as long as you stay under the tag limit.
Characters: This is for the characters in your fic! Any characters that appear in the story. Like the fandom and relationship tags, as you're typing in a name, a dropdown with a bunch of suggestions should appear! You can click on them to add them to the fic.
Something that is relevant here and also in the relationship tags is that sometimes a character can be referred to with two different names in whatever media they're in, which is then reflected in their character tag. In that case, the two separate names will be referred to in the same single character tag like so: "Character A name 1 | Character A name 2."
Additional Tags: This is for any, well, additional tags!
I feel like this is the section that scares people the most when it comes to tagging fic. It is pretty open-ended, but that's the beauty of it! Anything not covered by the above types of tags goes here, such as tropes, smaller warnings, silly tags, or really, anything you can think of!
I like to think of additional tags of having the following types but these types are all arbitrary. In that I just made them up on the spot and they are not official at all.
Interests: Anything that you think people will enjoy about your fic! These are pretty character-driven, in that the characters will do something in the fic that you can then tag. Things like "Cuddling & Snuggling," "Polyamory," etc.
Related is:
Vibes: This is for random things that you think will sort of capture what's going on in your fic, such as "Cats" for a cat cafe or "Cooking" if the characters cook together or for each other.
Warnings: This is for warnings that aren't covered by the archive warnings tag, but which you think might still be of note, such as "Panic Attacks," "Violence," and etc. These could also include story spoiler warnings up to a certain point for the source media of the fic.
Genre: This is mostly for your fluff, hurt/comfort, angst, and their subtypes like tooth-rotting fluff and soul-crushing angst. These tags are not mutually exclusive! Anything that you think fits.
Setting: This is for things like your coffee shops, aquariums, botanical gardens, planetariums, idk where the gays are going on dates these days. This could also include your alternate universes, which are formatted like this:
"Alternate Universe - Fantasy"
"Alternate Universe - Modern Setting"
Related to alternate universe tags are tags for alternate universe versions of a character, such as "Werewolf Hinomori Shiho" or "Witch Hinomori Shizuku," etc. These would also go in the additional tags section.
Silly: This is where you put your little jokes like "minori you stupid stupid lesbian" or "no beta we die like arisa if airi gets her hands on her"
For additional tags, the sky's the limit: I suggest reading a lot more fic and getting an idea on how people tag their fics to get a better idea of how to tag your fic. I think that other fics are probably the best examples of how to use additional tags.
A note for fandom, relationship, character, and additional tags: The existing tags which show up as you're typing something in are called canonical tags. Thanks to the hard work of Ao3's tag wranglers, there are several different ways to say the same thing that are all nested under the same tag!
For example, for the "Hanasato Minori/Kiritani Haruka" relationship tag, some tags that mean the same thing include "minoharu," "implied minoharu," "Hanasato Minori/Kiritani Haruka (mentioned)," and on and on. Fics with these tags will all be counted as the "Hanasato Minori/Kiritani Haruka" tag when it comes to Ao3 search and filtering.
Remember, tags are probably one of the main things people look at when deciding to read a fic! Sometimes people will look at tags, see a certain one, and be like "HOLY HECK! A FIC WITH VAMPIRES!" and then sometimes, people will see a tag and decide it isn't their cup of tea, so they move on. There's no shame in that!
When we fic writers post to Ao3, we tag our fics so that people who enjoy certain tags can find our fics, while at the same time allowing people who may not be fans of certain tropes or other content in our fics to consider if they'd still like to read or not.
So go forth, and have fun!

Archive of Our Own 101
Part 3: Inside the Fic
Now that we know how to find fics, let’s look at what we see when we get there.
Inside the fic, above our tags and things, is a bar with some buttons. For a non chaptered fic it’s very simple:

Comments: drops you down to the end of the work to leave a comments/read other’s comments (as a non-user you will have to add an email to leave a comment)
Share: This button gives you a pasteable link, as well as direct links to Tumblr and Twitter so you can share with your besties
Download: this dropdown menu gives you different options for files. If the archive is scheduled to shut down? Download a PDF straight to your desktop!
For archive users there are a couple more buttons

Bookmark: Will go in-depth later, but if you want to keep it, click it!
Mark For Later: This is a section you can find in your history (will explain later) if you want to read the work later but don’t want to bookmark it quite yet
Subscribe: This is only for users with accounts- clicking this button will notify you via email if the work is ever updated. Best used for multichaptered WIPs. Fun fact: that little button is in series too!

****
Multi-chaptered works have a couple of extra buttons, circled in blue

Entire Work: continuous scroll instead of chaptered pages
Next Chapter/Previous Chapter: moves you one chapter forward/back
Chapter Index: Need a particular chapter? Here’s the easy way to find it.
That pretty much covers what you find inside a fic!
Don’t know how you got here? Click HERE and HERE for the previous two lessons.
This was the final lesson for Archive members, so if you’re not, thanks for stopping by! Thanks for hanging out! If you’re an archive member, feel free to check out my final basics lesson on how to navigate your account HERE

hiii new reader here! I'm loving your neighborhood watch au :) I have a question though, what's up with all the hidden fics if you don't mind answering?
Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm hoping to post more for that AU during 2025; working on the buffer this winter :) Next up should be "Goodchild Oscar," which I started a long time ago and have been itching to share. I love NW AU so much...
And good question! My hidden fics are in an unrevealed collection called Riddle WIPs:
Hidden works are my drafts, but in a way that prevents them from being auto-deleted by AO3 after 30 days (i.e. the way AO3's actual draft feature does).
Keeping my works in this unrevealed collection lets me see everything, organize everything, link them to other works, prep my tags in advance, and do my color-coding HTML in advance (for works that use the green/yellow/red name system for life colors). Multi-chapter works also get their spoiler dropdown boxes in advance too.
This is a lifesaver when working with series. I have my works in multiple series, and every time you add one of those (or an inspired work), you have to save/post to refresh the page before you can add another. People who subscribe to a series (as opposed to the story or author) get the notification after a work is posted. I like to make sure my work has all the series attached to it upfront, not just one. It's nice to feel like I have plenty of time to do everything I want for prep purposes without stressing about a 30-day timer.
In short, it's a LOT easier to stick to a weekly upload schedule if all the work on the AO3 side is done in advance and all I need to do is slap the chapter in and post. Here's a draft I prepped last night, for instance:
/slaps his little head - This work can fit SO much body text when I'm done.
On posting night, all I have to do is add the text, change the update date to the day I post, remove it from the unrevealed collection, and presto! People subscribed to any of those series (or to me as an author) get the notifications :) Huge time-saver that lets me keep my regular update schedule.
If you check that publish date, you can see I actually made this draft in April. I just did the tags and cover art for it last night, as I'd like to get this work posted very soon. It takes me a while to get around to each individual project, but at least I always know where to find them and I can do the parts I have energy for when I have free time.
I just made a spreadsheet this week that links all my docs and AO3 works, so I am living large...
Another reason I do this is because I often have limited Internet access, but I do have offline access to my writing docs. I have a lot of back-and-forth time on the road, and sometimes I finish my writing when I'm away from home. It's so nice to prep the AO3 side in advance while I have a stable Internet connection and mouse instead of doing all that on the trackpad.
[cnt'd - Long post]
Back when I started doing this with hidden works, it was mostly because AO3 had a bug where every time you rearranged a series, you had to manually edit every single work that came after it if you wanted the Previous and Next links to work properly.
And I did. Every time I posted. Because that's how I am. I write a series titled 130 Reasons Why I'm Fairy Trash, which used to be arranged chronologically before I went through and changed them to recommended reading order, and there are 130 one-shots in it. I have tasted so much pain...
In other words, the series feature was great for people posting new works that come "next" in the series, but it wasn't working well for people who like to rearrange the order when they post something new. Ex: I have both the Pixels Imperfect and Neighborhood Watch series in chronological order. Using the unrevealed works, I took the time to arrange all the hidden works in advance so that the timeline was properly arranged regardless of what order I submitted fics in. This way, I only had to dedicate a couple days to getting all my current WIPs prepped and arranged, with the hope being that my links would work properly for a long time before I wrote a new work and had to find a place for it. I have never written a series chronologically in my life and I think it would kill my motivation if I forced myself to do that, honestly.
I'm pretty sure this rearrangement bug was there since I joined AO3 in 2018. Guess what they fixed while I was in the middle of adding all my drafts and arranging them all :'D
This is the best bug fix ever; my crops are watered daily and my skin is clean. I live in constant fear this bug will return and I will once again be relegated to spending hours of an evening painstakingly updating every work that comes later in a series... instead of the 2 seconds it takes to place a work now.
Bonus reason why I like the hidden work feature: I have thousands of documents after my 13+ years of posting fanfics and writing original works, many of which are no longer as up-to-date as posted versions that received minor revisions over the years (like spelling fixes).
It's super nice to have a place on AO3 to keep backups where I can easily find them and not mix them up with my outdated files (which I should clean out, but hesitate to do so because it would take me days).
I do have downloaded backups of all my works as well (Bless FicLab). Went through and did a sweep last month! I will not lose over a decade of my life... I bought a flash drive necklace to slap them on, so they will literally have to pry this stuff from my cold, dead hands.
FFN went down for a week earlier this year and I had a few works that were exclusively on FFN, not yet on AO3, so I was very quick to slap those into my WIPs collection as soon as I could, haha... One of those is 30k words. Yep. Not losing that.
I really wish AO3 would let people use Previous and Next to navigate through a hidden work because it's very obnoxious for me and others who want to click through the series and then we slam into a hidden work, but c'est la vie.
I fear the bug's return with my life, and for this, everyone must click extra times to navigate around the wall.
Fun bonus screenshots of what I see on my end even though these works are hidden for you guys:
Pixels Imperfect #2, baby! ... The first wall you hit if you're trying to read the series by clicking "Next," haha... Oh no.
And some Neighborhood Watch:
The story beats are there! I'm just not yet... but it's a much bigger decision to drop a WIP if you're already "halfway there" because you've got the prep work done. Some people may not want to put that "pressure" on themselves, but I don't mind it. I like seeing the works yet to come so they remind me of how excited I am to get there. They just seem so close...
I'm easing into a hiatus from posting fanfics this winter so I can build my 'fic buffers and post a few one-shots I've had sitting around. Fingers crossed that 2025 will have a lot of NW content. I'm very excited for it and I'm glad you're looking forward to it too!
-> I am so glad NW is only the first 5 Life seasons in the same timeline, because if I had to work Wild Life's mechanics into the worldbuilding, that would be a rough one...
My late-2025 is set up to be extremely busy IRL and the next couple years are sure to be as well, so I'm putting my all into prepping buffers right now. This'll be a lifesaver for me down the road.

Ao3 needs a dedicated page for browsing crossover fanfic
Crossover fanfiction is underrated. I love them to death. When done well, they're a blast to read. It got me into the medium in the first place, a Doctor Who x Digimon fic on fanfiction.net titled "Izzy and the Doctor." Reading that blew my mind when I was a 14-year-old fawnling!
FF.net is many things these days: outdated, clunky, ad-riddled, way past its glory years. However, in my humble opinion, it's still the best site for browsing crossover fics.
Immediately, the homepage presents the option of browsing standard single-fandom fanfiction or crossovers. It's a binary choice in every sense of the word: it can't get simpler than that.
After selecting one of the many listed categories, the website takes you to a comprehensive list of fandoms. Pick your poison! Which fandom are you going to mash against another?
Once you select your first fandom, the floodgates open.
All fandoms your initial pick has crossed over with are visible for you to see! It might be information overload at first, but you have many options to tailor your search, and by default, it lists crossed-over fandoms by the number of published stories in descending order.
And again, all information is presented to you at once.
Ao3 is not like that, unfortunately. Its comprehensive tag system is the website's greatest strength and blessing. However, it makes casually browsing crossover fanfics difficult.
The "Fandoms" dropdown menu within Ao3's sorting function is nowhere near a true replacement for FF.net's dedicated crossover page. It only lists 9 fandoms at a time, not counting the initial one you chose to browse (which, in my case, is My Hero Academia).
You could keep excluding fandom tags you're not interested in, but it's not an intuitive solution for me. It's like playing a slot machine, or something along those lines.
The "show only crossovers" option is excellent, but, not to repeat myself, it is not a replacement for FF.net's crossover features.
You can't casually browse a list of fandoms, mash them together like an unholy science experiment, and see what happens. You have to deliberately search for specific fandoms, which… yes, does not sound bad at all. But it takes away from that feeling of discovery, aimlessly browsing these fandoms, not knowing where your personal rabbit hole will end until you land on a specific gem.
And it's a shame because Ao3 has a massive advantage over FF.net with crossover content: multi-fandom crossovers, stories that go full-on Ready Player One and cram as MUCH as they possibly can!
That is magical! And if Ao3 had a system similar to FF.net's, it would make those stories all the more visible and discoverable. You can spontaneously pick and choose which fandoms tickle your fancy and not worry about sifting through a mountain of unwanted tags to sate your morbid curiosity.
But hey! That's just the mad ramblings of a fandom-obsessed deer.
If you've made it this far, please go read and support crossover authors! My recent favorite fic is "A Dragon Among Thieves" by Ao3 user Kyon813! It's a fantastic read that takes Kiryu Kazuma of the Yakuza series and plops him right into the middle of Persona 5. If you're a fan of both SEGA-funded series, I really recommend giving it a go!
Leave a comment, leave a kudos!
Ciao!

the enigma of (art) blend modes, and how doing brain research taught me how to better utilize them
(DISCLAIMER--I'm not actually going in-depth on different blend modes; there's other resources for that sort of thing! Rather, I'm just planning on talking about how they've been captivating to me in the past.)
I've been working with digital art programs for quite some time now, mostly for my game development pursuits, but also more recently just for fun.
Whatever program I'm using, be it Aseprite, Krita, or Paint.net, there's always this goofy little feature referred to as "blend modes". Really, all it refers to is how new colors should be made when two colors overlap on an image--particularly from different layers.
Back when I was young and naive, those layer blend modes hardly did more than just exist. Maybe I'd pull down that drop-down menu and switch around the modes every once in a while, but this was never used to help me during the creation process.
There's something about starting to use a new art program and getting overwhelmed by all the buttons on the UI. Of course, it takes time to master those menus, but when you do, it's nothing short of rewarding.
Which brings me to one of the most interesting programs I've worked with: Fiji.
Fiji isn't an art program--it's anything but. Instead, it's open source image processing software, designed for life science related analyses.
I've had the (mis)fortune of becoming acquainted with this software through my internship. When it was introduced to me last year, it was... overwhelming, to say the least.
This is what it looks like when you open it:
Not too overwhelming yet, right? Wrong. Here's what the dropdown menu for "Analyze" looks like.
(I like how it starts with normal sounding words, before devolving into things like "Helmholtz Analysis" and "Multi Kymograph".)
If any of you are already super-mega-brain-nerds and know how to utilize all of these options, then good for you, I suppose. For the vast majority of the people who are unacquainted with neuroscience (such as myself), however, this is INCREDIBLY daunting to navigate. Imagine something just as confusing as this for the other menus.
Hell, even just importing imaging data proves labyrinthine:
Okay. I'm done fussing over how convoluted Fiji's menus are.
I've worked with them for long enough to understand them a little better, though I still couldn't tell you what half the buttons do.
...like most of the art programs I use.
Yes, I've used Paint.NET since, like, 2018. No, I still have no idea what the "Clone Stamp" button does.
(by the way, if you're still using Paint.NET yourself for art, 1. what are you doing, and 2. Krita is much better for what I needed from an art program, so I might recommend trying that out if Paint.NET is getting on your nerves!)
Anyway, loading imaging data into Fiji usually gives you a video you can pan through. Most imaging data usually either represents a z-series, t-series, or both.
A z-series is imaging done on several layers of the subject's brain at a single time point, to create a 3D stack of images with time substituting for the depth into the brain.
On the other hand, a t-series is imaging done (usually) on a single layer of the brain throughout several time points. (Data I've worked with has ranged from 15-minute-long t-series to 100-minute-long t-series.) This again creates a 3D stack, though this time, time represents, well, time. (This is how most video is stored--even if the video itself is 2-dimensional, you're still "technically" viewing 2D slices of a 3D stack--though only super-nerds call video 3D.)
A zt-series can also be imaged by making several z-series over time, which can be processed into a 4D video. (Usually, though, the slices have to be processed through software to order them properly.)
Last year, I worked with zt-series a lot. This year, however, I've got easier work--I'm just working with t-series this time, to analyze calcium activity.
They're nicer to work with, to say the least. I've worked on automating the collection of calcium activity data by comparing the minimum and maximum values of each pixel throughout the whole t-series in order to determine where there's potentially calcium activity happening.
...in fact, once you get an image of the minimum and maximum values of each pixel across the whole t-series, you then work with those images as layers and use different functions to extract a mask that shows only potential calcium activity regions.
...
So it's adjacent to blend modes in a way.
Specifically the "Multiply" and "Divide" modes.
...
It's a bit of a stretch, of course, but working with these black-and-white images has helped me better grasp what's going on under the cover when I use those same blend modes for art.
Of course, I'm not using them masterfully yet. Really, I'm just using them to add blocky-ish shading to translucent objects.
...I'd show an example, but I can't find any pictures right now.
...
Sorry about the tangent.
I just feel like somehow this contributes to the intimate interconnectivity of everything.
Art and brain research being related on a software level.

any reason not to use discords in built forums? just curious, no preference either way
The primary reason is visibility-- multiple people have expressed interest to us in spectating, and a separate forum means all the RP threads will be visible to the public (except for the rare thread designated private, and even those can be made public when the game is over!)
A proper forum also means:
easier RP sprite formatting in multi-paragraph posts
dropdown toggle-style spoilers for large blocks of content warning in addition to inline spoilers
thorough tagging and searching capabilities
RSS feeds and email notifications in addition to discord notifications
fun things like achievements and post statistics!
Thanks for the reminder to start getting the forum set up-- I'll post here when I have an example thread or two ready for y'all!

Magento Product Listing Services: The Silent Sales Assassin Your E-Store Needs!
Your Magento Store is a Ghost Town (Here’s How to Fix It in 48 Hours)
Picture this: You’ve got a Magento store with killer products, a slick design, and even some traffic. But sales? They’re hiding like a ninja in the shadows.
The culprit? Your product listings suck.
Most store owners treat product listings like a boring admin task. Big mistake. In reality, your Magento product pages are silent salespeople working 24/7. And right now? Yours are probably mumbling.
At Ecommservices India, we don’t just list products—we engineer them to sell. Here’s the brutal truth about Magento listings and how to fix them.
1. The Magento Listing Massacre: Why 89% of Stores Fail
Magento is a beast. Powerful? Yes. User-friendly? Hell no.
Here’s what happens when you DIY:
Attribute Chaos: Size: "M" vs "Medium"? Color: "Red" vs "#FF0000"? Google hates inconsistency.
SEO Graveyard: Missing meta titles, duplicate descriptions, and zero schema markup = invisible products.
Mobile Nightmares: 60% of Magento stores have product images that load slower than a sloth on sedatives.
Bulk Upload Blunders: CSV errors that crash your entire catalog. (We’ve seen stores with 500+ "test" products live.)
The Fix? Magento product listing services by certified Magento assassins (that’s us).
2. What Our Magento Product Listing Services Actually Do
We’re not data entry clerks. We’re Magento mercenaries who turn your product catalog into a sales-generating war machine.
✅ Attribute Armor: Standardized sizes, colors, and specs that make filters actually work. ✅ SEO Sniper Mode: Meta titles, descriptions, and schema markup that make Google fall in love. ✅ Image Optimization: WebP conversions + lazy loading = pages that load faster than your customers can blink. ✅ Cross-Sell Landmines: "Frequently bought together" widgets that boost AOV by 35%. ✅ Bulk Upload Sorcery: Migrate 10,000 SKUs without breaking a sweat (or your store).
Real Impact: One client’s "lost" products started ranking on page 1 within 14 days after our overhaul.
3. The 7 Deadly Sins of Magento Listings (And How We Exorcise Them)
Most stores commit these cardinal sins:
☠ Sin #1: Using manufacturer descriptions (aka duplicate content suicide). ☠ Sin #2: No custom attributes for filters ("narrow by sleeve length" = gold for apparel stores). ☠ Sin #3: Forgetting mobile zoom on product images (where 72% of shoppers browse). ☠ Sin #4: Zero schema markup (bye-bye rich snippets in Google). ☠ Sin #5: Stock photos instead of lifestyle shots (lifestyle images convert 3x better). ☠ Sin #6: Not using configurable products properly (variant swatches > dropdown hell). ☠ Sin #7: Ignoring GTIN/MPN fields (Amazon and Google Shopping require these).
Our Exorcism Process:
Custom ChatGPT-trained templates for unique descriptions at scale.
Attribute mapping that makes faceted search actually useful.
Schema.org markup so your products appear with prices/stars in Google.
4. Beyond Listings: The Magento Dark Arts We Master
Our Magento product listing services include secret weapons most agencies ignore:
🔥 Dynamic Pricing Rules: Show bulk discounts automatically. 🔥 Tiered Inventory Sync: Prevent overselling across warehouses. 🔥 PIM Integration: Sync with Akeneo, Plytix, or Catsy. 🔥 Multi-Store Madness: Manage listings across 10+ storeviews without losing your mind.
Pro Tip: Pair with our Magento SEO services to dominate category pages too.
5. "But My Developer Said He Could Do This…"
And he probably can… if you want:
Listings that look like they were built in 2008.
Zero SEO consideration (because devs hate marketing).
A $3,000 invoice for what we do at 1/3 the cost.
Our team? Former Magento solution specialists who’ve built $100M+ stores. We speak both developer and marketer fluently.
6. How It Works: From Mess to Magnificent in 3 Steps
1️⃣ You Share Access (or send a CSV so messy it would make Excel cry). 2️⃣ We Deploy Our Listing SWAT Team (cleaning, optimizing, and weaponizing your catalog). 3️⃣ You Approve & Profit (while we handle ongoing updates).
Speed Matters: We once onboarded 2,874 products for a client in 72 hours before Black Friday. They hit $287K in sales that weekend.
Final Warning: Your Competitors Are Already Doing This
While you’re reading this, some savvy e-commerce store is:
✔ Stealing your rankings with better-optimized listings. ✔ Converting your visitors with superior product pages. ✔ Scaling effortlessly with automated catalog management.
Time to fight back.
📢 DM us "MAGENTO UPLOAD" for a FREE product page audit (we’ll expose your 5 biggest listing leaks).CTA: "Stop letting clunky listings choke your sales. Unleash Magento product listing services that convert!"
